In March 2016 South African telecoms brand Vodacom partnered with the University of Pretoria to launch a free smartphone-enabled hearing test for World Hearing Day. The hearZA app allows users to self-administer a hearing test using any iOS or Android smartphone. The app tests for hearing perception of speech amid background noise. If a user receives below normal results, the app prompts them to book an appointment with a hearing specialist. By the end of March 2016, over 9,000 South Africans had tested their hearing using the app.
The practical skills experience allows aspiring Behavior Change Specialists to receive live feedback from an ACE Master Coach on their individual coaching skills in a virtual setting. The Web-based session helps to ensure you have a deep understanding of strategies and techniques covered in the curriculum, and you know how to put them into practice. Before candidates can be named an ACE Specialist, they must demonstrate sufficient skills to the ACE Master Coach in each of the four competency groups. All feedback will utilize International Coach Federation core competencies.
