The film’s style exhibits a similar purposeful complexity. Using cinematographer Hossein Jafarian ’s crisp images, Farhadi develops the mode of camerawork that would characterize his subsequent films, a technique that involves constant movement and reframing (especially in the apartment’s beautifully designed interiors) in order to follow the shifting of perspectives among characters as well as the story’s emotional twists. While the style in some moments recalls American filmmakers including Altman, Lumet and Kazan, its distinctiveness and eloquence ultimately testify to the gifts of Farhadi, one of the contemporary cinema’s most essential masters.

The drone shots used to showcase the various chases and tense scenes look amazing. Background score is okay and could have been better. Sunny M R’s music is just about okay and has nothing much to talk about. Editing is quite sleek and so was the art direction. Production values by Abhishek Pictures are top notch as the small towns in Godavari region have been showcased lavishly.

Dine sumptuously at the chic Amber and, later, take home a set of artistic Tao postcards by JD Chou whose signature ink strokes have been immortalised for Landmark guests. Or, more mischievously, pack the beautiful ceramic chocolate box that comes with the turn-down service each evening. There are two intimate meeting rooms at the Landmark, each managing about 50 persons for a reception and 36 each theatre-style.
